Vehicle description
1970 Ford Torino GT completely restored about 5 years ago. Approximately 1000 miles have been put on the car since everything was replaced.
This car was purchased about 7 years ago in Arkansas. It was 99pct rust-free and in very good condition. Over the past few years, I have replaced just about every major component and completely updated the interior. Many parts have been refurbished, powder-coated or replaced with NIB parts. The major updates to the car are the following:
Everything listed below is NEW and/or Completely and PROFESSIONALLY restored parts:
REBUILT: 351 Cleveland 2-Valve Engine, completely restored and bored 60 over, delivering about 400mph Note: This car will burn rubber from a standing start without applying brakes NEW: Car repainted with Calypso Coral (Vermillion). It was originally Red. NEW: Laser Stripes on each side of the car NEW: Power Steering NEW: LED Lighting NEW: Dynamat interior sound-deadening material NEW: Dynamax Mufflers NEW: Ceramic Coated Stainless Steel Headers NEW: Stainless steel hoses throughout NEW: Many structural parts replaced with heavier-duty components NEW: Aluminum Radiator and High Output Fan NEW: Evans Radiator Fluid NEW: Hydraulic Roller Rockers NEW: Aluminum Manifold Covers NEW: Holly Street Avenger 650CFM Carburetor NEW: Edelbrock Aluminum Manifold NEW: Shock Absorbers NEW: Optima Red Top Battery REFURBISHED TO NEW CONDITION: Vacuum-Powered Hidden Headlight Grill completely restored to new condition REFURBISHED: Engine bay repainted and restored to excellent condition NEW: Monster Transmission with: Automatic Overdrive (4 Speed) NEW: Stainless 4 Wheel Disk Brakes with chrome Dual Master Cylinder NEW: Many Chrome parts under the hood, all high end components including Lokar shifter, Holley Street Avenger Carb, Chrome Water pump and a lot more NEW: Painless Wiring (All wiring is replaced) NEW: Chrome Wheels NEW: bumpers and all stainless refurbished and/or replaced NEW: Analog gauges (Original Speedometer works! and Lights up) NEW: Aftermarket Bluetooth radio and rear speakers added
COMMENTS: If you are in the market for a Classic Car, this is a model that is rarely seen. It"s NOT a Mustang, a Chevelle or any other common car. It"s a beautiful design that only existed for two years in 1970 and 1971. The beauty of buying a car that is already refurbished is lower overall cost to the buyer. I have put well over $55k into this car! Consider that almost everything that could be done, has already been done. Use the savings, to put your own touch on the car, like the rear-window slats that now sell for over $3k! : )
This car is rattle-free and rust free. The car operates at a steady 205F in the Florida heat. The Dynamax mufflers give the car a nice rumble at acceleration, but not overpowering enough to make it impossible to hear your radio or converse. The car gets an incredible amount of attention and thumbs-up whenever I"m out and about. Heat/AC were removed from the car, but openings in Engine bay and vents are available for an after-market or OEM unit. The car is currently garaged in Florida.
I have an album on Facebook with a lot more pictures of the car when it was first purchased and many pics of the restoration process. https:/ www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10209168345478905&type=3
I can also provide video of the car in operation for SERIOUS BUYERS.
I will ship the car anywhere, even overseas, but please make your own arrangements.
Thanks you for your interest and Happy Shopping!
