Vehicle description
I have a Marti Report for this factory Shaker Mach 1 and it says 1970 Mach 1 Mustang with factory shaker hood, M-code 351 4V, power front disc brakes, automatic transmission, 3.50 traction-lok, sport rear seat, power steering, dark Ivy green paint, ivy knit Mach 1 interior, F70x14 tires, sport back seat, AM radio and was built Oct 8, 1969. This Mach has been sitting a long time and does not run. It has a complete and original 1970 351 2V Windsor in it now, but a complete less carburetor 1970 Cleveland 4V is carefully stored inside the car. I was told the 351 4V Cleveland engine inside the car is good. This car also has a valuable (~$1500) 1969 dated 31 spline N case 4.56 geared traction-lok 9 inch rear end in it that was installed probably back in the 1970s (see picture of flat 31 spline axle end).
Nice headliner, seats and glass, but front seats are black 1969 Mach seats. The shaker hood stuff is long gone and the hood on it now is reproduction and is bent at the driver hinge. Front and rear frame rails are good, but floors and torque boxes are very bad (see pictures). Deck lid has rust. Engine compartment aprons are original and good. Trunk floors look good. Original quarters need rust repair.
Good project Shaker 351 4V Mach 1. The ignition key cylinder is broken due to prior owner trying to drill cylinder out. Front wheels do not hold original Mach hubcaps, so not correct 14 x 7s rims up front. Doors close good. Glass looks good. It looks like louvers and rear spoiler were on this car in the past. Car is located in Culpeper Va.
Sold as-is and I reserve the right to end auction early because it is advertised locally. No reserve auction. Well optioned Shaker, M-code, disc brake, bright green Mach 1 project. Thanks Rick Barker (301) 237-8360
