Vehicle description
This Ford F-250 4x2 has been my father"s truck for many years. When he bought it from the original owner it was in amazing condition with low miles. I had this truck restored at a local body shop in 2018. All parts were high quality replacement parts from Dennis Carpenter using all original Ford stampings. (no cheap after-market parts for this truck!) This truck has 51,960 original miles. It has always been stored inside. Mechanically it is all original with the exception of brakes, new fuel pump and a rebuilt carburetor. It also had a tune-up at time of restoration with plugs, cap, rotor, wires, etc. This truck has been meticulously maintained since new with all service intervals. The 360 c.i. V-8 engine starts, runs and sounds perfect. No smoke or knocks. The transmission is a 4-speed on the floor with a granny first gear. The undercarriage has been painted with black frame paint. The original paint code was used for the new base coat, clear coat paint. New parts from Dennis Carpenter included: new tailgate and all the internals, front and rear bumpers, radiator support, all new lenses, new mirrors, new windshield and rear sliding window seals, new entry threshholds. The box has been sprayed with black bedliner. Newer 16 inch BFG A/T tires. The interior is in unbelievable original condition. Near perfect seat, dash and headliner. This truck was your basic work horse. No power brakes, no power steering, no air conditioning. Reason for selling this vintage truck: I restored this for my father (age 86) but he can no longer drive and enjoy this truck. NADA high retail on this truck is $37,000. That is for a base truck, no options, like this truck. My reserve is much, much lower.
