Vehicle description
Very nice 1970 Ford Bronco Sport. 302 V-8, 3 speed manual transmission, standard (non-power) drum brakes and steering. This vehicle has absolutely no rust issues as seen in the photos of its undercarriage. The drive line is original 1970 with 25 K on the odometer, I assume that to be 125,000 mi., but it does drive quite well. It starts and runs well, shifts well, 4WD works perfectly, w/original locking hubs.
My plan was to build another chassis with a nicely rebuilt 302, headers, 3 inch lift and 32"s etc. and drop this body on as is. I have two parts vehicles that can supply everything for this build such as power brakes, power steering and a C-4 conversion with steering column and linkage. That is a separate deal valued at $1000.00 that I will probably advertise locally. I have decided to relocate from New England south to Virginia or the Carolina"s and its probably best to simplify my life. As you can well imagine, I have other vehicles to deal with.
I bought this vehicle from a Bronco Enthusiast in Michigan about two years ago and I have driven it frequently since then. It gets a lot of attention on the road with its grabber blue paint job. Body and paint work has been done, there is evidence of floor panel repairs but they are are not extensive and are very solid. The interior has been line-X coated. Otherwise the body is very clean.
To get it running well I had to make some improvements: 4-row radiator, Weiand 4BBL intake manifold, Edelbrock 600 CFM w/manual choke, new rear fuel tank, sending units for both tanks, and new fuel line front to rear, Pertronics (electronic ignition) conversion of factory distributor. It runs well for a 1970 302 but I would eventually start over for the sake of performance.
