Vehicle description
I"m selling my all original color (918), numbers-matching 70 Z (build date is 9/70). I purchased the car from the original owner who was a Datsun Z collector and enthusiast in California. It was well cared for all of its life. A volume of all maintenance records will be included in the sale. They tell a story of dedicated ownership. The car underwent a mild restoration in 2001 under the original owner"s tenure.
The floor pans, battery tray, and rear hatch are all rust free. The dashboard was completely replaced in 2006 ($942.85) and is, of course, crack-free. This is a dealer-optioned AC car. Clutch was replaced and operates smoothly and has only seen mild, weekend driving since. Tires are full matching Michelins with ample tread. Stalk exhaust was replaced with headers back (sounds great without being obnoxious). Doors close snug with excellent rubber throughout. Windows operate smoothly and all glass is excellent and crack-free. All gaps for body are correct with original fitment. This car has never been in an accident.
Wipers work, as do the wiper washers. All lights and signals work. Hood and locking doors all close and lock, as they should, with the original keys. There is no gasoline smell when running (as most Datsuns do). Venting works well, as does its blower at various speeds.
Overall, it is a very well-looked-after 240 Z that would be an excellent addition to any collection of vintage sports cars. Loss of garage space and other priorities necessitate sale. This is an appreciating asset one can drive and enjoy daily.
