1969 FORD RANCHERO 500. I purchased the Ranchero less than 2 years ago in Sep2018. To date I have driven the Ranchero less than 500 miles. I spent most of 2019 chasing a time consuming wiring issue in order to pass the NYS safety inspection. Regrettably this year I have acquired medical bills (NOT associated w/recent health concerns) that requires me to sell the Ranchero.
About the Ranchero: The Ranchero is pretty much in the exact condition I bought it. A very nice topside and high quality interior restoration was done by previous ownership. Chassis is what I would consider in a normal unrestored condition with some surface rust. The Ranchero has manual steering, drum brakes and an in dash AM radio with an aftermarket radio under the dash. Noteworthy rust in the area of the gas tank straps (rear cross member mount), additional straps were installed. Chrome on and around the bumper/bolts are beginning to rust/peel. Very small chip in paint on the top of the right front fender. New window felts and door seals were installed this year.
To the best of my knowledge:
- Original low miles. - Matching numbers, original 250 CID in-line 6 cylinder engine, C4 transmission. Previous owner stated "motor gaskets have been replaced". Engine/transmission runs/shifts great, no drips or leaks. - New Aluminum radiator, gas tank, tires and water pump.
The Ranchero runs great for its age and is truly fun to drive for those who enjoy the "feel" and driveability of a 60s classic car. A very nice weekly driver.
I have the Ranchero listed locally and reserve the right to cancel this listing at any time.
Clean NYS Transferable Registration (NYS does not title 1969 vehicles) and NYS Safety Inspection.
