Here is a very rare 1969 Mustang M - code convertible with manual transmission . Car built in San Jose California and was sold in Los Angles when new . Has the original matching numbers vin stamped 351 Windsor 4 barrel engine and matching number vin stamped 3psd manual transmission. Also has original 9"" rear with 3:00 gears. Has manual steering and manual brakes, manual top. Was originally Wimbledon white with a Nugget gold deluxe interior with woodgrain accents like door panels , instrument clusters , steering wheel. I have the original black plates that were on the car when I got it and the title is still in last owners name from California. This is a major restoration project car.
ENGINE: Car has its original 351 4barrel engine with vin stamped on back of block , Was running many years ago before I parked it. Still looks clean inside , I recently removed all spark plugs and looked pretty clean inside of cylinders , still has oil in engine , motor turns free by hand. Everything on engine except air cleaner , I still have the heatshield assembly.
TRANSMISSION: Car has its original vin stamped 3 spd manual transmission. Don" know the condition of trans internally
REAR: Car I believe still has its original 9" rear and still has the metal Identification tag present. Has 3:00 Gears , open end rear.
BODY: The body has rust damage. The worst parts are the front A pillars , they are rotted both sides where windshield frame meets the cowl and also where door hinges bolt on. Also the inner cowl where heater ducts bolt in are rotted. The windshield frame is weak at the moment , I have a extra windshield frame I cut out of another car that goes with it. The other section of rust is the rear water drip rail that is around the bottom of convertible top , this is where the tacking strips bolt in. There are sections of the rail that are rotted away. I have a complete drip rail section that I cut out of another car that goes with it, can be seen in pictures. The donor drip rail has some rust areas but can be fixed. Next , the rear floor is original , has a couple rust holes in it , but could be fixed , the passenger side of floors have old patch panels welded in them, inner rockers look solid , no noticeable holes on passenger side . The driver side rear floor is original and repairable , the drivers die front floor pan is gone. The driver inner rocker has a small area with a rust hole in it , probably about the size of a quarter, dont see any other rust on the inner rockers, they can probably be fixed also. The lower frame sections under floor pans are still solid and the lower torque boxes appear to be solid. The trunk pans are solid , the trunk drop offs have some rust but not rotted , the rear frame rails are solid , not rust I can see. The rear taillight panel was cut out for 69 Shelby style lights. The original tail lights are missing . The engine compartment has the typical rust bubbles/holes on the top where fenders bolt on, but not bad. The battery tray is only rotted at bottom , can be fixed. The shock towers , frame rails up front , radiator support are all solid and good. The rear quarter panels are original the the way down to the trunk drop offs , there are some areas on quarters that have Bondo , but no rust through , those can be saved in my opinion. The doors have some Bondo on the outside skins here and there , the inner door frames are good with no rust through i can see ,both doors are are very useable. I only have on front fender passenger side that needs work , has a hood that is good used to have a blinker scoop on it , now missing. I have the rear quarter end caps and both front and rear bumpers . No headlight buckets or valance. Driver fender and trunk lid are missing. I have all the glass , the doors still have the glass inside , the quarter glass was removed and stored but all there. The windshield in donor frame has a crack or hole in it.
INTERIOR : The interior is all gone except : I have the original rear seats upper and lower , I have the metal lower dash assembly with glove box and all switches , I have all the original wire harnesses for dash , engine compartment , and taillights. The steering column is there with a plain steering wheel , the clutch/ brake pedal assembly still there , i have the plastic cowl vents . I have a gold convertible boot , the complete convertible top frame is there , the canvas top is all gone to time. The front seats , door panels , rear panels , steering wheel , instrument clusters are all gone. and no shifter or driveshaft. Also the heater box is missing. I have the wiper assembly with motor
