Vehicle Details This beautiful one of a kind 1969 Ford Galaxie 500 has mostly original parts and interior. It has a brand new professionally rebuilt 1969 351 W 5.8L v-8 with less than 2K miles on it. It is not the original engine but It does have the original transmission that was rebuilt in mid-2000's. This classic ride is fantastic and catches lots of attention every time she gets out and about. I am the fourth registered owner of the vehicle. It was originally built at Fords Atlanta plant and purchased by its original owner in 1969 who kept it until her passing in 1991 when it was sold for the second time. It remained a barn find from 1991 unit 1998 when it was acquired by the third owner, who completed his first classic car restoration project on it in the early 2000's and used it as a daily driver. the current exterior work is the original restoration project. I purchased the vehicle in 2012 and also used it as a quasi-daily driver. I have completed the following major restorations since acquiring it:1.) Professional engine rebuild - January 20202.) Reconditioned fuel tank & parts including installing new fuel pump & fuel lines - January 20203.) Replaced full braking system - January 2020 (master cylinder - 2014)4.) Replaced original carpeting - January 20205.) Replaced power steering pump & steering gear box - January 20206.) Installed new engine valve covers, intake manifold, electronic distributor and reconditioned various engine parts including original exhaust manifold and related parts - December 20157.) Original radiator professionally reconditioned - July 20148.) Replaced all wheel bearings,& hubs, reconditioned transaxle- July 20149.)
