I’m listing this car for a friend that had a huge Fiat collection and this is one of his last. He used one car each week to commute to work (12 miles/week) over the last 15 years. Very few of this cars in existence! ! This is one of the best examples as I know . Original California Car, 104,000 miles. red exterior, black interior, 5 speed Transmission, Currently registered in California. No smog check control needed ever. The four cylinder, 1438cc, aluminum, twin overhead cam engine was designed by ex-Ferrari engineer Aurelio Lampredi. Other mechanicals include a 5-speed gearbox (although early models featured only a 4-speed), disc brakes at each wheel. Car was designed by Mario Boano at Fiat Style Center. Vehicle Condition You are bidding on a Fiat 124 coupe 1969 in excellent condition inside and out. CLEAN CALIFORNIA TITLE. Vehicle has not been restored and it is in original condition. Body: Absolutely no rust, no dents, just a few dings here and there due to age. Paint: glossy blue paint. Paint looks very good all around; Vehicle has been repainted 12 years ago (before he purchased the car) Most of the car was stripped when painted. Has plenty of coats of paint to play with (in case you need to refinish). The only blemishes are some surface rust bubbles by the windshield edge (see pics) Gap between panels is excellent. Note that this is not a show car. Panels are shinny and well finished. Exterior: all chrome moldings are in very good shape, bumpers in very good shape, lights and plastics in very good shape with no fading or cracking. Exterior door handles have some light pitting. Wiper Washer system is working. Glass: Glass is in excellent shape, front windshield has a few scratch marks on the passenger’s side (from a defective wiper) but does not affect the front vision. All other glass is original and in perfect shape. Weather-stripping: showing some age but effective in keeping water and wind noise out. Chrome: in very good shape. Wheels: Cromodora alloy wheels in very good shape structurally and cosmetically. No curb damage. Left front wheel has paint chipped at the edge but no physical damage. Spare wheel not included. Engine: Excellent, Always starts fine, idles smooth, runs smooth and extremely powerful, doesn"t burn or take any oil. No leaks. Engine cylinder head was completely rebuilt 10 years ago by Alfa Italia in Burbank, CA (have receipt) 5 speed Transmission: Very good, Shifts smooth, all synchros are OK, no leaks! Suspension and Steering: Excellent ride, feel solid and stable even at high speed on the freeway. Alignment was performed when inspected. New front suspension bushings and ball joints, job performed by Alfa Italia. Shocks in very good shape Brakes: Excellent condition, new brake pads and discs. Job performed by Alfa Italia recently. Car brakes straight with no vibrations or noises. Parking brake works fine. Instruments and Warning lights: All in good working condition. All external lights, turn signals, hazard lights, high beams, instrument cluster lights in good working condition. Speedometer and odometer are working normally. Odometer is showing 4,000 miles and never stopped working so total mileage is 104,000 miles Climate Control: heater works correctly. Interior: Seats in very good shape, carpeting in very good shape, Headliner in decent shape, dashboard in very good shape with no cracks, center console in very good shape, door panels in very good shape (driver’s side door panel upper trim has a blemish that can be easily repaired. Chrome accents in excellent condition. Interior looks very good. Tires: Brand new tires in four corners. Spare wheel: has the original steel wheel with the original Michelin tire. Sound System: Aftermarket radio has been removed a while ago to get the center console repaired but it is included with the car. Car History: my friend purchased this car 12 years ago from Tony Toscano , this was Tony Toscano"s personal car, he was the one of the most famous vintage Fiat mechanics (factory trained) in Los Angeles. He used to run a Fiat dealership . Inspection: The car was inspected by a certified mechanic and he stated that it was a very well maintained car, no leaks of any kind. Almost new distributor cap and wires, new alternator, new front suspension bushings, new brakes front and rear, undercarriage with no rust, no signs of accidents or any repair done, shocks in very good condition. Belts and hoses are in very good shape, antifreeze within specifications. Oil and filter change was performed when inspected. This car is very reliable and can be driven anywhere.
