Even with a professional inspection, unless things have beenfixed/replaced recently, you don’t know what is going to break next in an oldcar! This car has had extensive work done since I bought it in October 2019,including all of the following: · New BF Goodrich radial tires (except the sparetire) · New trim rings · Front end alignment · Brake system repairs (incl. brake mastercylinder, power brake boosters, pads, calipers, blades) · Wheel bearings repacked · New mufflers (old ones sounded like a pickuptruck!) · New ignition cylinder (old one was faulty) · New battery · New fuel pump and fuel line (old one was faulty) · New AC compressor (old one was faulty) · New windshield wiper vacuum pump (old one wasfaulty) · Several leaks fixed (incl. engine oil pangasket, transmission cooler hose, valve cover gaskets) · Oil changed, radiator flushed, brake fluid changed;all other fluids checked · New tachometer (old one was broken) · New sun visors (old ones were missing – gofigure?) · New upper dash pad (old one was cracked) · New Lloyd’s custom floor mats · Bluetooth AM/FM radio (old radio was AM/FMcassette – does anyone even own cassettes anymore?) · Passenger side mirror (wasn’t original on the ’69Corvettes, but matches perfectly and increases visibility!) You know you’re not going to have to fix the abovethings on this car any time soon! All of the work (except for the radio andmufflers) was done at my local Chevrolet dealership by their Corvette mechanic.There are receipts for everything, and the above work done by Chevrolet isunder limited warranty. As a whole, the vehicle does not have an existingwarranty and is being sold as is. BTW, think you want a convertible instead of acoupe? Be prepared for it to leak around the top"s fitting if it gets wet! What else I can tell you about the car: A/C, heat, lights, and all of the gauges work.The car passed its state inspection in October 2019, not that they check thingslike A/C and heat. You can call my local Chevrolet dealership and talk to theCorvette mechanic to ask any questions you have about the mechanical and/orphysical integrity of the car; I’ll be happy to provide you with their phonenumber. The original color was burgundy according to thecolor code on the car. The paint has cracking and some chipping; itcertainly could use a new paint job. The chrome is in very good shape (nopitting). The interior is in very good shape. The carpetlooks good; the seats have no tears; the upholstery on the doors, console, etc.looks very good; there are no stains. A previous owner replaced the 5 original gauges(fuel level, oil pressure, water temperature, clock, and voltmeter) in thecenter console with AutoMeter gauges. I’m not sure why. The previous owner (from Texas) had the car for12 years and only drove it ~2K miles (not good!); as far as I know he kept itgaraged. He provided no documentation of any maintenance done under his watch.However, the owner before him (also from Texas) kept meticulous documentationgoing back to 2000, which I will provide The car was sold to me as having a 383 ci engine.There is no documentation on exactly what modifications were done to make theoriginal 350/300 engine into a 383 cu in engine, so I can’t authenticate thatclaim. According to both my Chevrolet dealershipmechanic and the owner of a body repair shop that I consulted, there is no ruston the car and the frame is not bent. You’re welcome to get your own inspectiondone; there are several such companies in my area. Also, the body repair shopowner said that he could tell the right front fender had had minor collisiondamage in the past (that had been adequately repaired), but, other than that,could see no signs of any prior damage to the car. Comes with 2 Corvette C3 logo key rings, tan canvascover (not weather proof), original 1969 sales brochure, body assembly manual, chassisservice manual, owner’s manual, radio instruction manual, and notebookcontaining receipts for repairs. Why I’m selling the car: I have 3 cars (2Corvettes and a very nice SUV) and a 2-car garage. I’m not happy with havingthe SUV outside, and I’m certainly not going to put one of the Corvettesoutside! The reserve price is based on what I paid for this car and the amountof money I have spent on repairs. Note that you may be paying a BIG markup fora car being sold by a used car dealer (as opposed to a private seller). Payment options: I will accept a cashier’scheck or a money order. A non-refundable deposit of $1000 is required within 24hours of winning the auction. The balance is due within 7 days of the end ofthe auction.
