Vehicle description
I’ve owned this car since 1985 came from New Mexico drove it home myself I still have the title from New Mexico. The car has original floors throughout no patches anywhere has absolutely no signs of ever any rust or pitting on underside. The car has never seen snow and has always been stored inside. The car has all GM sheet metal. In 2010 it was brought down to bare steel and separated from sub frame and painted original Hugger Orange with added SS stripes. The inner fenders sub frame and all Suspension was treated with Powdercoat. Year correct 396 with forged steel 427 crank forged H beam rods 10.5-1 aluminum pistons with skirt coating LS6 square port heads and original winters intake manifold on top is the correct Holley replacement 4346 carburetor. Cam is a Lunati hydraulic roller voodoo .600 lift. The valve covers are very early and we’re on the engine when I bought it. They were very rough cleaned them up and had them nickel plated so they are maintenance free. Curved neck heavy duty radiator with correct pulleys and clutch fan. Has front disc brakes and rear drum 12 bolt 3.73 gears strange axle shaft with 9 inch bearing ends. I tried to make this car look like it came from the dealer. Has a lot of original parts on it. The cowl air cleaner is a reproduction as well as the cowl throttle flap but the solenoid that actuated it is a NOS part. The bumpers, grill, spoiler, door handles are original GM parts. The interior was originally standard white changed to Houndstooth with added bolsters in front seats. New headliner and carpet. Dash pad and gauge cluster is reproduction. Console and gauges are mostly original. Recently installed brand new Tremec T56 magnum 6 speed to cruise on the freeway 60 mph 2000 rpm.Floors were not cut for this install had to trim 1/4 inch half moons for updated Bowlers shifter to come through. All glass is new with correct etching. The car wins awards at every show it enters 2013 Detroit auto Rama third place in original restored judges didn’t like the stainless gas tank stainless transverse exhaust and modern radio.
