Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1968 Oldsmobile 442 is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great. Vehicle Details This is a solid Desert Car, almost all original 4 speed car, almost. It has a 400 E code motor from earlier 442. (The E code motors are rare and sought after, and the preferred Oldsmobile 400 motor) Good running car, with 0 mechanical issues and no leaks. The car drives great. Has new front bumper, Grill, headlight bezels, Hardware and all the trim, all new The motor was recently refreshed ( new seals, gaskets, rods and arms)with Edelbrock Aluminum Intake and Holley carburetor, still have the carb and intake that came with the car, that also come with the car. While the motor was out, the engine compartment and radiator support were detailed and a new radiator installed. 12 bolt limited slip 3.42? rear end Manual 4-speed M20 transmission with new clutch Body The metal of this car is in phenomenal condition. The gentleman who owned the Olds and started the restoration Before myself. Purchased the car with the original paint with zero body work done to it. He was very honest and pointed out all the spots that needed attention. Which I confirmed with a magnet over every inch of this car. First - he replaced the left fender. It had a large creased dent in it. Second - filler was used on the right lower fender, behind the front wheel. 3rd- there was a small dent (2 1/2 by 1 1/2? on the upper rear quarter (pointed out in photo) The trunk has light surface rust and also on the internal lower quarters. Just needs to be sanded and resealed. The floors and frame are incredible original condition. Only area that has been detailed is above the gas tank when a new tank was put in. Left rear wheel well does have some small areas in the lower rear that needs attention. Car has its original interior. Front seats have some tears, half the headliner is gone and the rear deck panel needs to be replaced, other than that the interior looks pretty good for 53 year old car. Even has the original stereo have no clue if it works though? All trim is accounted for except for left front wheel well trim, the two little rear quarter trunk lid trim pieces, and left fender trim. Included are the original wheel If you have any questions or want any more photos no problem Exterior Interior Engine Download the Motors app
