Up for auction is this superb original paint example of the 1968 GMC 2500 V-Six pickup truck
A true survivor.
This is a turn key truck that is ready to enjoy as is or take to the next level.
The motor purrs like a kitten and starts and runs great.
Brakes are in working order. Clutch works great. Original stickers, mud flaps, and engine air cleaner stickers are intact. The firewall assembly line markings are correct.
This truck has been driven regularly for many years and well maintained.
Everything seen with this truck is included.
Very minimal rust. . typical 67-72 rocker replacement needed.
We believe the 44,286 original miles shown on the odometer to be correct however we make no guarantees due to the age the the truck. Odometer is in working order.

Some brief history on this model of GMC truck. 1967 was the initial year that Chevrolet Motor Division and GM Truck and Bus Division agreed to split platform production. The former would make all light trucks, with GMCs essentially becoming rebadged Chevrolets, while GMC would build all larger trucks, supplying Chevy with rebadged units. As such, while the all-new 1967 GMC pickups shared the same chassis and sheet metal as Chevrolet, it was available with a GMC unique engine, the 305 cid V-6. This was in addition to GMC now also using Chevrolet’s sixes and V-8s. During 1969, GMC’s unique V-6 engines were discontinued for the C/K series, marking the end of an era. From then on, GMC and Chevrolet pickups all had identical drivetrains.
