Vehicle description
This 1968 Camaro is a genuine American muscle car, fast, fun and reliable. Bill Mitchel 427c.i. small block, FITech Mean Street fuel injection, March Ultra Drive serpentine system. 555 hp & 526 lbs torque. Lakewood Bell housing, Centerforce Clutch assembly, Tremec 5 speed, Currie 9 inch with 3.55 gears and Detroit Locker, Hooker Competition Headers, Flowmaster mufflers and exhaust, Ron Davis Radiator with dual fans, Engine and drive line was installed at the same time and has less then 9500 miles, Hotchkis Tubular A arms and full TVS Suspension, Baer 4 wheel discs, Hydroboost, Budnik Ice wheels, Nitto tires, Hurst Line Lock. Interior is very nice, original headliner and door panels, seats have been recovered in the original houndstooth pattern. Vintage Air, Autometer gauges, Custom Autosound factory style stereo, Power windows and locks, Keyless entry, Alarm. Full LED lighting inside and out including headlights, Electric headlight door motors, Trunk has been resprayed with the original splatter paint and has a black carpet trunk liner installed. Camaro is a true SS, but it"s an RS clone. It has never been restored, just well maintained. I can"t see any signs of wreck damage anywhere on it and with the exception of the factory cowl induction hood it appears to have all of it"s original sheet metal. The body is as rust free as you can get for an non restored car. The only rust I can find on the car is at the bottom of the radiator core support. I suspect this part came from a donor car when it was converted to an RS by the previous owner. The paint job is over 20 years old and while it does have a few small chips and light scratches it has a deep glossy shine that looks better then a lot of new paint jobs. This car is a great driver. Everything works like it"s supposed to. It"s fast, reliable and gets attention everywhere it goes. Clear title in hand. I invite you to come take a look at it in person. Or if you have any questions or want pics of any areas just send me your E-mail and let me know what you want to see.
A $250 non refundable deposit is required within 24 hrs of auction close. Final payment will be in cash when picked up.
Since my wife and I are getting ready to retire and will be doing more things together, we have been thinking that we no longer need two classic cars. I REALLY want to keep my Opel GT (see my other listing) and She wants to keep her Camaro. So we decided to put them both up for sale and if one sells the problem is solved. Seriously, don"t check out the Opel, this high performance Camaro, it"s the car you want.
