Survivor, Time Capsule, Barn Find, however you want to say it, the car is cool. I have owned the car for a couple years and had lots of fun driving it to car shows. It is in very good shape for it"s age. The car was painted in the late 70"s. The original color is Corvette Bronze. See Cowl Tag. It still retains the original top and it is in very good shape. The car has new carpet and front seat covers. I believe the odometer says 64k miles. It is in storage now, but I am close on the mileage. The odometer does work.
Currently there is a 502 BBC in it. The engine is quiet impressive. Sounds great and has a lot of snort to it. The car has the original engine, transmission and rear end. The engine is sitting at the engine shop and moving very slowly through the process. Currently, the #1 main bearing was corrected and the engine had to be bored to .060 over. I have new 9.5.1 pistons for it. I am using the original rods. The heads are tore down and cleaned. It has a nice crank, it is either .010 or .030 turned. I off the top of my head, it have the oil pan, radiator, shroud, intake. There are some new chrome pieces in the trunk, like wheel well chrome, emblems, original shifter, and a variety of other things.
This auction is for the both engines. The original engine and parts will need to be picked up. I do not think they will fit in the car. I might be able to pull the back seat and front seat and put the parts in the car for transport. That would help with shipping. The car does run and drive.
It"s a nice car and not many original engine cars left out there. The engine in it is a good poker chip and very valuable. I think it has around 1500 miles on it. I also have dyno sheets for it. Leave the engine in there and drive it or pull it and put the original engine back in. You have options.
I will assist in shipping how I can. I will load the car with the car parts for transport if that helps.
