Vehicle description
What a find! Original paint, low miles, (just turned 40,000) same owner for over 46 years (1968-2014) Its the one everyone is looking for, Fleetside, swb, big back window. This truck was bought by a farmer in a small town in Illinois and hardly ever left the property and that the reason for the super low miles. The truck is incredibly clean. There are dings, dents and scratches but there isnt that horrible rust that everyone hates so much. The engine runs good, a lil cold blooded but runs like a champ once it warms up, the shifter on the column shifts like new, Ive never had one that is so smooth and tight as this one. Everything seems to work as it should and everything short of the choke cable looks factory original. All the glass is good and the windows and doors work great. I replaced one small headlight eyebrow molding that got bumped and fix the bruise behind it, I then polished the entire truck so it would not be obvious it had the one small spot fixed. I took several "before" The very corner of the hood had a few small bubbles that we later found out was a mice nest, it was professionally repaired and the nest was removed. The under carriage is very solid, we found the rear two floor braces had collected mud and started to corrode from the inside out so we replaced them both. All in all its about as much of a survivor as your going to find. We are a 24 year in bussiness, high quality, custom and restoration shop that can build or restore this truck to any degree. Or leave it alone and enjoy it just as you see it. Great truck at a fair price, the days of finding 67-68 shortbeds in this condition for 5k are over so please understand though not cheap this truck as original as it is, is still a great value, they aren"t making any more and they aren"t getting cheaper.
