Vehicle description
Selling our 1968 Chevy C-15 (converted to C-10) custom. We bought this truck mostly restored, so we don"t know some of the intricate details on it. (We"re the 3rd owners.) Anyone that knows how much time and money it takes to get a truck to this point, will appreciate it greatly. We have a full binder from the person that restored it, which shows most of the mechanical features and things done to it. Once you see it in person, it"s easy to believe that there"s about $35,000+ wrapped up into it, with most of the labor not included in that price.
Current mileage is roughly 71,000, so I"m assuming the truck, since new, has 171,000 on it. Here are the details:
-C20 3/4 ton with C10 conversion (5 lug).
-Long box with big back window.
-Wing-window-delete kit.
-Original grille and gate.
-Kenwood CD player, mounted in the glove box, so the original dash remains as-is.
-Goodwrench Target Master 350 SBC motor.
-4 bolt block w/ 2-piece rear seal. 8.5:1 cr, cast dished pistons. Hydraulic flat-tapped cam. 383 / 401 list and 112 lobe separation. Cast iron 76cc heads w/ 4 qt oil pan.
-TR700 automatic trans w/ floor-shift.
-Not sure on the gear ratio of the rear end, but it cruises at 60-65 nicely.
-Edelbrock carb & intake.
-Headers & exhaust.
-Good glass all around, but the windshield has a rock chip that was repaired.
-Newer brakes all around (disc front and drum rear), including new mater cylinder and power booster from CPP.
-New front and rear shocks, new ball joints, bushings, springs and lines.
-New 21" wheels and Nexen N7000-225 / 35RZ20 tires.
-Original A/C that blows cold and was rebuild in 2009.
-Beautiful interior. Must see to appreciate.
-Factory dash bezel, custom steering wheel and OEM steering column.
-There is no rust on this truck and the paint is a pearlescent orange. There is a small quart of the paint for any needed touch-up. It is show-quality body and paint, that you must see to appreciate.
-The bottom of the truck bed is Rhino-lined black.
-The truck cover shown in the pictures comes with it.
There is really too much to list on this truck! It was a frame-off restoration and no details were missed!
I had this listed a while back, but then cancelled the listing because I thought I wanted to keep it. I just dumped $2,500 into it (with receipts to prove it) and had a new hydraulic power steering actuator installed, a MSD electronic ignition booster installed, a tune-up and the motor and transmission completely gone through, serviced and now it runs like new.
The reason why I decided to list it again is because it"s too nice for the reason I have a truck (going to Lowes and the dump), want a short box, and really miss our short / wide "80"s body style.
With the money I just dumped into it, I"m asking $22,000 obo. Clean Washington title in-hand.
