RELISTING DUE TO NON PAYMENT.I AM NOT SHIPPING THIS UNTIL ITS PAID FOR For sale beautiful 1968 BMW 2002.This is the car that put Bmw on the map in The United States and defined the brand as a purveyor of purposeful driving machines.It predates "The ultimate Driving Machine". The car was sold from 1968 through 1976.At launch the 2.0 liter engine featured a single Solex carburetor and made 100 horsepower.It was paired with Getrag 4 speed manual .Light weight and great weight distribution guarantees fun to drive. Visually,the early cars are the cleanest,with slim chrome bumpers,round tailights,and single aluminum molding that encircles the body starting at the leading edge of the hood and extending straight back just under the handles and onto the trailing edge of the trunk lid.This particular car is nice and solid example that spent years in dry storage.Frame and rockers are rust free.Floors look good too.Molding looks straight and still have shine.All 4 tires are in great shape.All 4 shock towers look great.Recently spark plugs and wires were changed.Runs&drives good.Interior looks good for its age.This is a factory AC car but compressor is missing.I do have spare wheel with the tire,owners manual,side view mirror and center wheel caps.Previous owner had hood and trunk resprayed(due to sun fading)5 years ago but they did not match it with the rest of the car very well. I was quoted $500 for scanner matched respray of those 2 elemets.Trunk tray needs attention too and estimate for fixing it is $150. I am selling "Roundie" because i just purchased 1971 Bmw 2800CS.
