You are bidding on a 1967 Sunbeam Tiger Mk II. I purchased this car from the daughter of the original owner about 6 years ago with only 34,000 original miles on it. We completed a rotisserie restoration on it in October of 2018 and it has been driven about 3,000 miles since then.
Everything on this car was either rebuilt, restored, or replaced, paying close attention to originality. Nothing was overlooked. The car appears just as it would have when it left the factory, including all the correct hose clamps, parts colors, etc. The engine, transmission, and rear end are the same ones that the factory installed. Even the hubcaps and trim rings are the original, factory-supplied ones.
The body and all the suspension parts were chemically dipped and stripped at Classic Auto Stripping in Wauchula, Florida, the only place besides Chicago where this process is still done. Then an epoxy primer was sprayed on all these items, followed by removing and replacing any rusted areas. The carnival red paint is base coat, followed by clear coat, color sanded, and buffed out to a very smooth finish.
This car starts right up whether in cold or hot weather and runs beautifully, just as it would have when new. I"ve been driving it to my shop and back, a distance of about 25 miles, two times a week since the completion of the restoration, and it has never had a problem with overheating. The "67 Tiger Mk II cars came with a two-row oil cooler mounted in front of the radiator, which is probably why overheating is not a problem. It has been in the high 90s here in South Georgia the past month or so and the car just purrs right along at about 170 degrees.
