Vehicle Details 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible. Purchased in December 1979 by my father in Manchester, Iowa. It was completely restored in 1980. A 289 V8 replaced the original 200ci 6 cylinders. Approximately 30,000 on this engine and a total of 131,100 on the car. Has automatic transmission, power steering and new suspension for the larger engine. New floor pan, gas tank, quarter panels, bumpers, door hinges, front disc brakes and black interior replaced. Dual exhaust. New white top installed. The top does has a couple of very small ¼” tears. Painted candy apple red. In 1987 the car was used in 2 scenes in Miles from Home movie starring Richard Gear filmed in Iowa. In the scenes, it was driven by Penelope Ann Miller and Helen Hunt as the passenger. Have documents showing payment for use of car. Also have handwritten notes by my father with parts, prices and dates for work done. I purchased car in 2009 and drove it to Denver, CO. Always garage stored. This car runs great and feels very solid at 80 MPH. The carburetor recently rebuilt, transmission serviced and rear brakes replaced. Overall, the car is in driver quality shape. The paint has some chips, flakes and scratches, but still very presentable. A few chrome pieces need replacement. The seat upholstery is in good shape as well. The undercarriage is in excellent shape, very solid, no holesThe Mustang is not a show car. A great daily driver for someone that's looking to actually drive it on a regular basis.
