Solid 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible 289 Automatic with Deluxe Interior and Floor Console. Downsizing and advancing age has made it necessary to sell my classic Mustang. Over the past 2 enjoyable years of ownership I have made numerous enhancements to the Mustangs interior. The previous owner had gone through the engine and mechanicals so I just focused on some interior and exterior enhancements. Exterior adds include new LED sequential taillights and lenses. New chrome bumpers that I purchased to replace the ones that are currently on the car that still look good, but being on the fussy side I decided to replace. They are not installed but will be included in the sale along with new mounting hardware. New exterior side passenger side and drivers side correct adjustable mirrors. Drivers side has not been installed but will come with the car. Trunk lid brite molding included.
Mechanicals Air cleaner assembly is new, but also comes with the original air cleaner assembly Petronix 2 electronic ignition and Flamethrower coil added along with the appropriate spark plug wires Front suspension and steering kit New battery All fluids maintained to specs.
Interior Upgrades Just installed brand new Custom Sound AM/FM MP3 radio with brand new dual cone in dash speaker and Pioneer kick panel speakers. Looks and sounds amazing. Original kick panels also included with sale. Original floor console with working garage door and working front and rear console courtesy lights. New black carpeting with extra floor insulation applied to solid floor pans. New correct sill plates added when carpet was installed. New aluminum instrument bezel and aluminum dash plates and emblems. LED lights added to instrument gauges to enhance nighttime illumination. All gauges work properly along with a new working in dash clock that keeps perfect time. New chrome window cranks front and back along with deluxe interior door handles. I will also include the original parts that were switched out during my upgrades. Front windows crank up and down effortlessly. Left quarter window is sticky but does go up and down. New regulator is included, right quarter works great. All windows are original and crack free. Doors open and close like they should with no effort at all. Also include are new matching door locks cylinders with keys Solid trunk floors and gas tank. No spare tire. New weather stripping. New horn assembly. Horn sounds loud and clear! Windshield wipers work. Deluxe interior seats front and back are very comfortable and have no cracks or splits and the vinyl is very pliable. The hard to find deluxe clamshell seat backs are in terrific shape and are crack free. Original deluxe seat belts are include but not installed as I was going to upgrade them as my original intent was to keep this car for many years and enhance it along the journey, hence the reason I have so many new parts included with this sale. Deluxe indoor courtesy lighting and under dash courtesy lights also work correctly. Marti report included in photos that show cars options, original color, etc. Lots of good rubber left on tires mounted to Mustang styled steel chrome wheels. 289 engine with 4 barrel Holley carburetor start easy, idles perfectly, runs smoothly and is very strong. The C4 automatic transmission shifts smoothly and effortlessly. Shifter linkage works smoothly. Couldn’t ask for a better engine and transmission combination. No big leaks but the transmission does drip a little fluid when setting. Just drips. Shocks, dual exhaust and brakes were newly added just before I bought the car. They all function properly. Power steering works great and makes for easy steering. Comes with a new front end kit that features tie rods, idler arms and other front suspension parts for future use. Original power convertible top works both up and down and will come with a brand new in the box correct motor, cylinders and hoses that I purchased at CJs for down the road restoration of the original top. The back plastic window is cloudy as it is original, but the top itself is in very nice condition with no tears. The cars paint presents beautifully with just a coupe of minor nicks, no door dings or rust. Shines bright and beautiful! This car gets compliments and thumbs up everywhere I go. The undercarriage has been treated and rust proofed and is very solid as are the cowl and rails. It’s a great driver that will surely make the next owner extremely proud and happy with their purchase.
Clear Minnesota title. Car sold as is no warranty. Buyer pays and arranges shipping ,but I will help on my end and keep the car in secure garage storage until pickup. Car has always been garage kept and only driven in the summer months, but I start it up frequently during the winter to let it run. Heater works great and is fully functional.
