1967 Mustang Convertible “S” Code GTA. This is a rare find here. Original paneled, unmolested, rust free car and a ton Ford NOS parts. Car was born in San Jose and was moved to Mesa Arizona in 1974. The car remained there as far as we can see until 1992 when it was brought to MI. The restoration was barely started, except for the accumulation of parts, but was never completed. Hasn’t seen the road since. This is believed to be an original 42000 mile car due to many obvious reasons ie; interior and dash condition, brake pedal pad, riveted brake shoes still installed, no rust, original exhaust hangers all the way back, cylinder walls on engine, rear end condition, the list goes on. The “S” code 390 is original and was partially taken apart. The heads were redone but never reinstalled. Cylinders look perfect. The rear quarters are original but primed, paint still under the primer. The only panel that seems to have changed is the drivers front fender and it is Ford NOS. The previous owner began accumulating any parts needed for a HIGH LEVEL restoration. The list of parts included are in the images above. The amount of "NOS" parts is impressive. Some may be the only ones left in existence! Included in the list is other excellent original parts. It doesn"t matter where you look, everything is in very good condition. Underneath the car, in the trunk, battery area, rockers, cowl vents, under doors, this thing is beautiful, no rust anywhere. Rear end is in excellent shape, a nice and tight 9" attached to a C6 transmission. For the serious car collector, you can"t ask for a cleaner piece to start with, "No metal work to do" and the included NOS/original parts are just unheard of. You can’t find these parts anywhere. My cousin and I have had 50 plus Mustangs between us and this is RARE to have a nearly complete (99%) car with NOS parts just waiting to be put on.
