Freshly restored 1966 Volkswagen Beetle. This bug has just been painted in its original color of Bahama Blue. Car was stripped down to metal in most areas and both rear fenders replaced. Any small rust was cut out and new sheet metal welded in. The floor pan was replaced with a newer solid 1971 pan. The bare undersides and interior have been sprayed in rust proofing undercoat and truck bed liner material to reduce noise and vibration. This vehicle will last another 53 years before you need to restore it again - contact me in 53 years and I’ll give you a discount on the next restoration.
The entire interior is new in ivory white. Seats were expertly reupholstered with new padding. New Bluetooth radio by custom audio that looks original but performs like new and includes jacks for stereo upgrades.
Outside chrome trim, turn signal lenses and windshield are brand new. Headlights are original but have been painted and new bulbs installed. New tires and hubcaps. Brand new brake master cylinder installed. Brakes have been adjusted and bled with new fluid. Wheel bearings repacked and greased. Rear axles have new seals.
The engine is a 1600cc with a little more power than the old 1300cc. It runs smooth and has a fresh tune up with new spark plugs, plug wires, oil and seals. New clutch! New starter! Has a new exhaust bolted on with a working heater. Fresh battery. The car has been converted to 12 volts. It even has a voltmeter and two usb charging sockets in place of the original cigarette lighter.
