Hello, how are you today? I am selling a 1966 VW Bug. This is a great driver quality car! If you are looking for a perfect show car, stop looking here! If you are looking for a nice presentable car, that runs, and drives great, and you are not afraid to drive, this is a great car! The car spent most of its life in Virginia, therefore is its very solid! At some point someone replaced the rear pan halves, which is very common in these. The rest of the car is very solid! ! The frame head, beam, and front pans are very clean, as pictured, also the heater channels are in great shape! ! The car was originally pearl white. at some point it was painted red, the painted the current green, which looks great on the car. As far as my research goes, the color is GM Rally green. On a scale from one to ten, I would give the paint job about a 6. it is very presentable, but it is by no means perfect. As far as I can see the front apron is straight, and there does not seem to be any evidence of prior accidents. The gaps on it are nice, and everything opens and shuts, as it should. I replaced most of the interior, headliner, visors, carpet, rear seat upholstery, and door, and rear panels. The car was stored well, so it does not stink inside, or have any traces of mice/rodents. Another cool thing about this car is it has the factory pop out rear windows, which you do not alway see. As far as the accessories go, everything works, lights, horn, wipers, etc. The inside is all stock, which is nice, it has not been cut up, or ruined in anyway. The last owner added the more modern seat belts, which is nice, he used the factory spots, and did not alter the car in anyway, and honestly, you feel much safer driving it. The car has a 1600 dual port engine in it, which I was told was rebuilt in the last 7 years. The car runs great! ! !I just replaced the Carb. I replaced it with a good quality Brosal one, not a cheap repop one. Also the clutch, brakes, brake hoses, master cylinder, battery, plugs, wires, point, cap, and rotor were also recently replaced. The car always starts right up, and goes down the road great! ! I do have the stock air cleaner for it which I will include with the car. This is a very fun car to drive, and it gets a lot of looks everywhere you take it. I have made sure it is mechanically sound, so it can be driven at anytime! Like I early mentioned, this is not a show car, but it is a great driver! This is a very fun car to put your family in and go for Sunday rides in, or take to a local cruise.
