This 1966 Plymouth Belvedere II has been totally restored from the ground up over 15 years with a nod towards the early Super Stock class in drag racing. Setup for the Street Legal Street& Strip with Vitamin C Orange base coat clear coat paint with matching interior. The car started with a very cherry foundation. Originally, a 318 V8 car with only 30,000 miles that was purchased from the original owner. Late 90"s restoration with over $60k invested. Built for performance; powered by a 440ci/600hp motor built by Gary Stevenson, a well-known race car engine builder.The motor contains JE inverted dome pistons, JE piston rings, forged steel Mopar performance crank shaft, Milodon true roller timing gear set, 292 comp. cam, Mopar performance stage VI cylinder heads, 5 angle valve job, ported and polished, and a balanced assembly. Edelbrock Performer intake, Holley 850 CFM carb. Ceramic coated Dyno Max headers. Port matched intake, Milodon oil pan with single line oiling system, Felpro gaskets, MSD ignition. The cost of the engine build was approx. $10,000. The car is FAST! The transmission is a rebuilt 727 Torque Flite, B&M 2500 stall converter, Cheetah SCS shifter with reverse valve body. The rear is a 8 ¾ 3.90 Sure Grip, Richmond gears, Auburn posi unit, Super Stock springs, Moroso spring perches with 3 adjustments, drag racing shocks, mini-tubed, sub frame connectors, drive shaft loop, Aspen/Volare front disc brakes and six point roll cage. The exterior body and paint is exceptionally nice, straight body lines, no waves in the body. Restored bright work and stainless, new glass, new roof pillar pot metal, trim and restored pot metal tail light bezels, new chrome door handles, the ¼ vent window chrome is excellent. New window felts, new door and trunk weather strip. Restored front grille and front bumper. Original rear bumper has slight haze, but overall, very good condition. Deep dish color keyed wheels with poverty caps mounted on N50-15? old school Pro Trac drag racing profile tires in the rear and BF Goodrich 6.70x70-15 up front. Trunk has NEW AGM battery and box with emergency shut off under the car. The interior is restored with new headliner, carpet, door panels, new dash pad, and door hardware, chrome plastic arm rest bases and pads, and sill plates. Chrysler chrome steering column, auto meter tach, 3 pod auto meter gauges, Simpson seat harnesses, and factory am radio, and old school steering wheel. Certainly one for the MOPAR LOVER. .
