Vehicle description
1966 Jaguar S-Type I have owned this car since 2014and was repainted Silver Grey Metallic in 2010. The leather interior was reupholstered soon after the repaint. Power comes from a 3.8-liter dual overhead-cam inline-six paired to a 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Recent service includes a complete tune up and electronic ignition conversion. Selling with service receipts dating back to 2012, a factory tool kit, and a clean Pennsylvania title in my name. Originally finished in Golden Sand Metallic, the body was repainted in Silver Grey Metallic (701) a factory color, the older repaint presents well with only minor imperfections that are difficult to photograph. All trim and badging appear complete and original and brightwork is said to show well the bumpers are original and show some signs of rust pitting. Disc wheels wear correct wheel covers and white stripe radial tires. The interior is largely un-restored with the exception of the seats which have been reupholstered in the correct leather. Original wood trim in good condition, but the carpets and door seals show age related wear. All gauges and controls work, and the odometer currently shows 69k miles.Power comes from a numbers-matching 3.8-liter DOHC which is coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Recent work includes a tune-up with an upgrade to an electronic ignition. Full Disclosure the sway bar bushings need to be replaced, and the clutch releases high in the stroke and may ned adjustment. .The trunk still retains the factory supplied liner along with the original jack and a complete tool kit. All and all this is a well maintained and represented DRIVER with elegance and class for the fraction of the price of fully restored units.
