It was built at the Norwood, Ohio plant and sold new at Sherwood Chevrolet in Johnson City, Tennessee. It has been a part of several very important car collections over the years and currently resides in a prestigious Southern California collection. It features its original interior and mostly original paint. It comes with its original window sticker and features several options. The base Impala SS stickered at $2927 and this example sold new for a well optioned $4,048.04. It came equipped with the M21 close ratio 4 speed manual , F41 performance suspension, metallic brakes, push button radio, special instrument gauge cluster, tinted windshield, transistor ignition, rear seat speaker, deluxe front and rear seat belts, 3.73 posi-traction rear end, the most desirable Marina Blue paint and of course the top offered L72 427/425hp motor.
