Vehicle description
It is an original 138 Super Sport convertible. Factory Marina Blue exterior, bright blue interior with a white convertible top. It has the numbers matching 396/325 hp motor. Console Muncie 4 speed with a Hurst shifter. Knee Knocker Tach. 12 bolt posi rear. The car came equipped with drums all the way around but I did a disc brake conversion up front. It has power steering and brakes. All four corners of the car have new Hotchkis/ Fox high performance sport shocks. To help with the cornering I installed a new Hotchkis front sway bar. To feed the motor I added a Quick Fuel carb and high flow Holley fuel pump. I also installed a new alternator and fuel tank. The car has a Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust system. The headers are Hooker Super Comps that are ceramic coated. The car has 17" Torque Thrust wheels and tires. I put them on with the disc brakes. I have 15" rally"s and pictured the car with the 14" SS wheels that could also be available. The car was restored in the late 90"s. It has 148K miles on it. The paint still looks great with just a few flaws. The interior shows very well. I replaced the carpet and floor mats but the seats still have the original skins. You can tell all of the glass is original. The white top is manual. It could use a good scrubbing but it"s very tight. The rear window is plastic. The dash is in excellent condition. The frame, floor and trunk pans are super clean. I have taken pictures of the areas that the paint isn"t perfect. There is a small wear spot in the clear near the passenger handle. Also under the rear molding behind the passenger rear wheel is a tiny spot that the paint chipped. You can"t see the spot unless you look under the car below the molding. The car drives great. My wife and I would get in, drop the top, and drive it all weekend long. It sounds fantastic. Turns heads everywhere it goes. I have owned the car for 10 years and have put a total of 9 thousand miles on it. I have the original Blue steering wheel to go with the car. I have found the alternator brackets for the correct driver"s side in a box of misc. take off parts. I have enlisted the help of East Ave Auto in selling the car.
