It"s an original yellow car with black leather roof , air conditioning, factory 4 speed, bucket seats and floor consol. Basicly the guy how ordered this car had Champaign taste! When I found this car the owner had it since 1982. He was a old racer that lived out of town and his house was surrounded by huge trees, very green and lush. He had pics all over the walls from his race days and this was a car he had tucked away in his garage with blankets over it. He was going to make a drag car out of it. He just never ended up doing it to that car for some reason, but probably a good thing. Then 30 years later he desided to sell it. My wife and I picked it up and on the way back I checked a online sight and there was a 396 motor for sale! 200 Miles back from where we found the chevelle ss right down the road about a mile! ! Sounded crazy so I call up the guy and he said he"s been holding on to this 396 original motor for years and he would never sell it unless someone had the original car!? So I said I"ll be right there I"m pulling a 1966 chevelle right now . He said the only reason he posted the motor for sale is because he had seen this chevelle for sale . He said he called the guy once but he never answered. So couple hours later I pulled up to this old farm home and the gentlemen comes out and looked over the car and he was pretty excited! He said he has been waiting along time for that car to show up! He seen it and recognized it. Then he pointed out where the motor was. It was barried behind years and years of stuff in this big old red barn . It was really magical to see a car reunited with the original motor, the heart and soul after so long! The guy said he pulled that motor to rebuild and ended up selling the car a long time ago. Lastly he said he never knew after all these years the chevelle was just down the road .
