1966 Chevrolet SWB C-10 Pickup. 292 inline 6, 3 speed on the floor. Truck has been in my family for 10 years and spent most of its life in Virginia. Older restoration; probably in the early 2000’s. Paint is in good condition – above average everyday driver condition not show. Truck runs great, I drive it a lot. Sounds awesome with the cam, headers and dual exhaust. You would think it’s a V8 at a red light. Engine was rebuilt in 2015, but probably has less than 5,000 miles on it. 292 with 9.5:1 compression, lump port head. Schneider 280/490 cam. Clifford 4-barrel aluminum intake with Edelbrock 500 cfm carb. Long slot rockers, electronic HEI ignition. Transmission is a stock Saginaw 3 speed. I do have an un-rebuilt 4 bolt main 350 and 700R4 available if interested. Plan was to eventually swap down the road but the truck is fun as is so I wasn’t in a rush. Truck has been lowered with new springs and shocks 1” front and 3” rear to obtain a level ride height. Updated with non-power disk brakes on the front and standard drum on rear. Stops on a dime even without the power brakes. Most of the suspension has been rebuilt, tie rod ends – ball joints, etc. and I rebuilt the entire emergency brake system so parking brake works. I rewired the entire truck with a new American Auto Wire harness. Every harness from the headlights to the taillights has been replaced. The only exception is the heater harness. I could find it at the time so the heater does not work. Was working prior to the wire swap so the heater motor is good, just didn’t get around to ordering and replacing that particular harness. I also replaced the fuel tank sending unit and all of the dummy lights and dash gauges work along with the dome light. The horn is the only item that doesn"t work. It worked prior to the harness swap with a dummy switch which I removed. Not sure why it doesn"t work through the new harness, but I’ve exhausted my skills trying to figure it out. Was going to add another external horn button but was resisting. I replaced the stock steering wheel with a wooden Grant steering wheel. I know buying a truck on the internet is a tough call. I am more than willing to talk on the phone, send more pictures if requested or even video chat. I can video FaceTime so you can see the truck in real time, hear it run or just take a look if you are serious about buying. There is some bubbling of the paint on the bottom front lip of the hood (see close up pictures). The bottoms of the doors also show signs of rust (see close up pictures). It appears the cab corners and rocker panels were replaced and there is no apparent rust. Floors are in good shape under the rubber mat. Any more questions or concerns please let me know.
