Vehicle description
1965 Plymouth Barracuda Landau Hot Rod With A Touch Of Class! There has been so much done to this car, it is a prime example of Mopar Love. There really is to much to list but here go"s a try, lol. Over The Top! $$$ Turn Key! Very Enjoyable as is! I will start with the Engine. 1973 340 bored 30 over forged Ross 11.5 to 1 racing pistons. Steel H beam rods. Steel crank. Stock 360 heads. Cam Dynamics Energizer cam with hydraulic lifters. Cruise 2600 to 3000 RPM"s equals 75 MPH. Hi flow air cleaner, water pump, oil pump fuel pump and radiator. 340 Torker intake manifold with 600 Holley. Performance electronic ignition system. The exhaust is Spit Fire Headers with resonators & Hooker Headers tuned flow adjustable mufflers. The transmission is a 904 la automatic with a 1900 to 2100 stall converter. It has a transmission cooler in line with the standard radiator cooler. It has a vintage Hurst racing shifter. The rear end is a 8 3/4 with a vintage 741 with open 315 to 1 ratio. It has heavy duty race axles and bearings. Heavy duty ESPO leaf springs and KYB gas shocks for a very driver friendly smooth ride. The body has a rear trunk mount battery new gas tank with 3/8 inch gas line. Standard manual steering. SSBC non power disk brakes on the front and heavy duty Plymouth drum brakes on the rear. The suspension is all Moog with heavy duty tie rods. The car drives straight and stops straight with a very smooth tight ride. No squeaking or rattling. The wheels are vintage Grand Prix Cragars with Goodyear on the front and Mastercraft on the back. The paint is new 2K base coat clear coat Burnt Race Yellow with a matte black enamel hood. The interior is very nice with new headliner and seals throughout. New carpets. New rear seat. Door panels that match the exterior vinyl top and armrest that match the exterior color. It has custom bucket race seats in the front. Excellent care to all wiring through out the car with Auto Meter gauges all work as well as dash mounted turn signal indicators. Very nice premium Kenwood sound system with trunk mount amplifier. It has a sporty Grant steering wheel. The last picture shows the car at an earlier point with Cragar SS Chrome and color builder sealer. I have also put many n.o.s. parts and reproductions on it. Its a Cool Hot Hod!
