Vehicle description
This 1965 Thunderbird was restored over a five year period. I have owned the car for over 7 years.
Clear North Carolina Title.
Repainted professionally in its original color of Burgundy and white. It is a truly elegant color combination The interior is newly upholstered in white and sports a new headliner and carpet. Engine is the 390 FE Big block with a three speed auto trans.,in great condition. New whitewall tires. Front disk brakes with rebuilt booster and new master cylinder The car runs extremely well with no smoke or noise . Everything works except the clock. Anything that needed fixed or renewing was done during the restoration. It is ready to cruise and enjoy right away.
I believe the miles are original.
Included in the sale are new spare parts:
.Shock absorbers .Rear spring assist kit .Water pump and Thermostat .Electric Ignition ( The car runs so well with the original points system I never installed it) .Quart of Burgundy paint for touchups. .Original (unpainted) fender skirts. I don"t like the look so never installed them.
I drive this car regularly (3 or 4 times a week at least) on short trips but I have done a few long distance trips in the last year. The T-Bird ran nicely at freeway speeds above the posted 70 miles per hour. few long distance trips this year. The T-Bird cruised flawlessly at above freeway speed making it a great option as a usable classic car.
Please don"t waste my time and spoil this auction for legitimate buyers. If you have the available funds, bid away, if not please refrain!
I ask a $250 deposit by PayPal at the end of the auction.
Shipping is at your cost and I will work with your nominated shipper to arrange pick up.
The start price is $9,900 (which is less that I have in the body and paint alone!) You may actually own this classic for less than 10 grand.
