Selling a beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback Shelby GT350R Tribute with a built stroker engine with a T5 Tremec. A lot has been invested in this build. This is the BEST 65 mustang I have ever driven! It"s been fully restored. This fastback was done just like the original Shelby GT350R that Ken Miles drove for Shelby aka "The Flying Mustang" and is hard to tell the difference between the original one which sold at Mecum for 3.8 Million Dollars. It has so much detail and craftsmanship done to it. It has full functioning air vents for the front disc brakes, that are ventilated from the two circle holes on the front bumper. The rear disc brakes are also ventilated from the functioning side scoops. Also the hood has full functioning scoop to supply fresh air to the air filter. Numerous options such as Wilwood 4-Wheel disc brakes, Power Steering, Full set of Gauges, Shelby style Wheels with correct center caps, Side exhaust, Full roll cage, Front A Frames raised 1" Just like Shelby did. Factory "09" code car for fastback.
The mustang did receive a full restoration. At that time it received new front R Shelby bumper, grill, lights, rear sequential light kit, Cobra gas cap, moldings and etc. During the restoration process it received all new mounts, new door seals, all new chrome pieces, new windows, new weather stripping, all new lights, new bolts and nuts. The mustang was painted in a splendid Wimbledon white base/clear paint, and Guardsman Blue stripes just like Shelby did. The mustang has a really nice stance, gives the car a superb look. Underneath you"ll see the floor pans are in really good condition. New Suspension, new gas tank, all new performance dual side exhaust system and more. The previous owner said it took 2 years for him to build the car. It also has Coil-over suspension conversion in the rear, 9" narrowed rear with 411 Posi Gears, Underneath it has additional chassis torque bars. You can race this car if you wanted too! The black covers on the headlights are removable. The engine is a Hi-Performance 331cid stroker engine and is very FAST! 5-Speed Tremec manual Transmission (The hurst shifter inside has a 4 speed shift knob). A lot of detail has been spent on the engine compartment. High performance Edelbroke Aluminum heads with 2.2 valves, 289 Hypo Balancer, 4150 Holly Double Pumper Carb, Ford racing cobra valve covers, oval air intake, Cobra performance intake manifold, Hedman headers w 3/8 Flanges, strut bar kit with reinforced plate just like shelby did, MSD Ignition performance system, oversized cobra oil sump, and more. This GT350R will definitely get lots of attention at the shows & question at the cars and coffee meets. The interior is nice with Carroll shelby bucket seats, all brand new! rear seats delete with spare wheel, new carpet, new headliner, door panels, aluminum shelby steering wheel, autometer gauge cluster with full set of gauges, and more etc. This mustang is one of the nicest for sale. Make sure to check out all my 150+ Pictures. The roll cage extends to the rear of the trunk and provides more stability to the body of the vehicle like Shelby did back in the day. Also new rotors, new brake pads, new calipers, new brake lines, new gas tank, new fuel lines, all new suspension, new control arms, new ball joints, all new bushings, new shocks were done during the restoration.
