Vehicle Details To celebrate the Mustang's first anniversary, the GT option was introduced in April of 1965. This 65 GT was built at the Dearborn, Michigan plant in June, two months after the GT's initial introduction. It was shipped to the Dallas Distribution Center. I have owned and cared for this car for 46 years. I bought it from the original owner in 1975. It has 94,840 actual miles. 'A' code car with Automatic, power steering, disk brakes, air condition, tinted glass. It has always been garaged and hasn't been in the rain for the last 46 years. It is a straight, never-wrecked, rust-free car that has spent its entire life in Texas. Being a charter member of Mustang Club of America, numerous reference books were researched to assure that this car remained all original. All numbers match, with the original motor, carburetor, transmission, rear end. All rebuilt, and all with the original tags. Under the dash air conditioner has been converted to 134a and blows cold air. It has the York-Tecumseh-style compressor. All glass is original CarLite FoMoCo, tinted. It has the 5 Style Steel Wheels that came on it, including the spare. The silver argent background on the Style Steel Wheels signifies that they are the early' 65 type, not reproductions, and still look new. 5 new Firestone WSW Tires The car is acutely detailed, and all tags and decals being proper and correct. It drives great and the transmission shifts are crisp. It comes with a copy of the original window sticker which is included in the pictures. NO modifications. Restored to All Original Condition. It was, and remains, just like it rolled off of the showroom floor. Look Close. I had it repainted in 1975 with acrylic enamel. Ford Mustang. GT. Free local pick-up.
