Vehicle description
Ford F-250. V.I.N.F260K715234 color: Red Trans-4-speed,miles -13,233 mi. Title clear 7-dayauction Reserve$15,000t Up for auction is an original paint, ultra-lowmileage, heavy duty ¾ ton F-250. Now for thehistory of the truck as I know it. It wasa grass fire truck owned by the Murdo South Dakota fire department, yes, thehome of the Murdo car and truck museum. I asked the guy I bought it from whythey did not get it and he said it was a written closed bid auction and I won. It wasbought in 2009 on the way home from a Black Hills vacation, he was going to makea snow plow truck out of it but time marches on an after driving it some thefirst year it wound up just sitting inthe shed. His brotherin law is in my car club and he told me that the truck was for sale. I drained all gas and other fluids, cleanedradiator, rebuilt carb, new water pump, battery, rims, and tires and a cleanand buff. I have driven the truck about 300 miles sincegetting it running and it has not missed a beat. The motor which I assume is a 352runs excellent and the transmission click shifts like it just came out of theshowroom. I had the seat re-covered in a like kind colorand texture material while still using the original vinyl which still has theFord logo. The vinyl floor mat was ripped up over the battery box, so I justtossed it. The truck isin amazing condition with original paint on everything, except it looks likethe driver’s side rear fender. It still has the original black paint on theframe it has some small dents, dings and scratches that would be expected on afire truck. It also has itsshare of additional holes on the dash from CBs , siren switches, etc. The passenger side outside cab pillar was drilled for a CB whip at some point the truck was updatedwith front disc brakes and power brake booster from what looks to be later 70s Fordparts the truck has a “Mico” aftermarket emergency brake set up the onlyproblem mechanically is the dash light and temp and fuel gauge which I am toldis a relay attachment to the back of the bezel which I have not been able tofind the part for yet. The truck is rust free, except for surface rust on thestep plates on the box. The truck will need a bed wood kit as itappears the bed mounted tank had some leaking conditions and rotted the wood incertain sections and rusted a portion of the passenger side wheel on the verybottom where it attaches to the wood, well that"s all I can think of if youhave any further questions I can be reached at five-0-seven , four-5- six,two-9-five-7 . Check out the pictures and good luck bidding!
