Vehicle description
Just Purchased from same owner since 1982. He restored the car in a 3 year time frame. Installed a fresh 350 balanced and blueprinted engine before installing and swapped the Original power-glide for a TH 350 Transmission. Beautiful lazer straight perfect body with restored chrome and stainless and excellent paint 2006 Corvette Red. Bright Auto Upholstry of portland installed Naugahyde upholstery new top with glass window and new carpeting. Finished in April of 1985 and used in Parades and car shows. Owner always wanted to put a Big Block in this car and in October 1985 when mileage hit 52K He disassembled the car once more. Discarded the fresh 350 and re-placed it with a Chevrolet crate 454/425 HP with Edelbrock Air Gap intake and Holley 750 Carburetor. Also installed 2.5 Flow master exhaust and 4 wheel disk brakes. Beefed up 700R 4 transmission. Also hand built the dash using Autometer guages. New painless wiring added years later. Car was completed in February 2008 with a set of vintage 15X7 Cragar wheels and debut on February 29 2008 at the Portland Roadster show and took runner up trophy award. Nice full page article in the Legendary GM magazine September/October 2008 and featured in several parts catalogs. Stunning example of a 1965 Impala SS super-sport Convertible Custom.
