My father-in-law purchased this VW in Memphis, TN in 1963. We have the original bill of sale. He has been the sole owner. He used it as his primary transportation for 20 years. He transitioned to another car in the eighties, but drove the VW on weekends. He only had certified Volkswagen mechanics perform maintenance and repairs. It is in beautiful mint condition. The brakes, tires, and engine are in excellent condition. My father-in-law gave us this car, because he is a kind and generous man, and he knows that we desperately need the money to survive our current financial crisis.
