My father-in-law purchased this VW in Memphis, TN in 1963. We have the original bill of sale. He has been the sole owner. He used it as his primary transportation for 20 years. He transitioned to another car in the eighties, but drove the VW on weekends. He only had certified Volkswagen mechanics perform maintenance and repairs. It is in beautiful mint condition.
