Vehicle description
1964 Austin Mini Traveller Van (very rare).
For sale is a genuine and very rare, well looked after three owner mini van.
I have received an independent valuation today for $40,000 (see picture included).
The first owner went to the UK and purchased this car - it was first registered in New Zealand in March 1964.
This owner had the car for 22 years, the second owner for 28 years.
I have had this car for three years and have completed a full nut and bolt, bare metal, two pack paint system restoration.
I was planning to keep this car as part of my collection but have decided to sell to finish my other two Minis.
This car has been meticulously restored including:
- The motor has had a new clutch kit, rings and bearings
- Reconditioned starter motor and generator
- Full new brake system including handbrake, cables, springs and brake lines.
- New steering rack, tie rod ends, wheel bearings and ball joints
- New aftermarket 12" minilite wheels
- New windscreen
- All rubbers including very hard to find rear sliding window runners etc have been replaced
- New shocks
- New hood lining
- New full carpet set
- New lap seatbelts
- Floors and underbody are fully original
- Very tidy straight rust free car
- All roof rails etc are original and immaculate
- Original motor and gearbox
Please note: The front seats are not the original. I recommend purchasing a mini sport UK replacement cover set.
I have all documentation including photos of the full restoration process for this car which I am happy to share with you via Dropbox.
I have spared no expense on this car.
I have over 20 years in the Automotive industry, and this car is the tidiest example of a rust free mini I have ever seen before I even started with this restoration.
