| “WITH ONLY 68,000 ORIGINAL MILES ON IT, this bird was so well kept and in such great shape all we had to do was tune it, give it some new rear brakes and brake cylinders, fresh paint and interior/ exterior detail. The motor purrs and all we had to do was service it. The interior is almost flawless. Everything works, Mechanically it is ready to use as a daily driver. It is a California car and so the body had no major rust only some surface issues. The photos here are from before it was painted. So imagine what it will look like when it delivers to you with a fresh show quality, color sanded and buffed peal white paint job! For a 53 year old car this bird is awesome! I was looking for a 64 Thunderbird coupe with an interior I could use in a 64 convertible I"m restoring for a client. I found this one, but I had a problem - the car was in such incredible original condition there was no way I could kill it. Instead, we"ve already re-done the rear brakes, installed new brake cylinders and got the 68,000 mile motor running fantastic! We"ve also done body work and it"s about to get a show quality pearl white paint job. It will be a car you"ll love to drive as well as have fun with at the local car shows. We are of course doing other details like rebuilding the carb, starter, generator, re-coring the radiator, servicing the trans and making certain there are no unexpected mechanical issues.
There are quite a few of these cars available but none that are all original/ matching and in as good a condition as this one. But it"s the quality of finish work we"re doing now that counts. Your Thunderbird will be beautiful when it"s done. Also, you may have some custom final touches like sound system. display screen or hands free phone setup you"ll want, so call me with any questions and let"s get started!
