Vehicle description
Up For Sale is a 1964.5 Ford Mustang Convertible sporting the 260 V8 w/164 HP and a 3 Speed Manual Trans. The data plate breakdown show this is the 6 April build date making it one of the earliest Mustangs built . The first off the floor happened in 6 March so only 30 days later this Mustang # 8020 came off the line. RARE! It is believed the 44,074 mileage showing is the actual miles on the Mustang. I have been able to verify three PA owners going back to the the early 90"s. There are receipts showing work done at the Mustang Barn in the mid 90"s with mileage at the 39k range. These 64.5 Mustangs are getting harder to find in the unmolested state and this one is definitely a fine example of 1964.5 Mustang.
The PA title is clear. The 64.5 differences are shown in the picture"s. Here are examples: generator with cover and rubber attached, turn down hood , beveled light bezel, horns mounted on front frames, regulator with screw connections, distributor with with oil hole, brake light switch mounted on Master Cylinder, interior vent with A. This is a RARE and original 64.5 Mustang that is ready for the next owner to take it to next level or enjoy showing as a piece of FORD history.

This is the correct car for a discerning buyer looking for authenticity . The undercarriage is great shape showing some body work done to the lower truck drops, outer wheel well. All looking professionally done. The floors look great from underneath but will require you or your inspector to make the final decision. The cowls look outstanding showing no rust, torque boxes solid. frame rails solid. This is just an original looking outstanding example of the 64.5 Mustang . We encourage all parties to come and look for your self or send your inspector. We will get it on a lift for you to look it over. The Mustang does show some road rashes in the paint on tail light housing and right rear quarter a bigger rash. The glass is great, the bright work very good, the interior though older is in outstanding condition. Tires are newer and have near 100 % tread and wheels are shiny and bright. Motor starts right up and runs down the road as it should. Mustang sports a current PA Inspection till July 2021. The CO is a golfer and takes the Mustang, with the top down of course, and his clubs to play a round of golf and show her off to his friends. Winner - Winner.
Do not hesitate on this "diamond in the rough." Call and ask questions and setup an inspection. Priced right to sell and leave some meat on the bone for the next owner. After all that is what the classic car business is all about. Passing these classics on to the next generation of car lovers.
