Vehicle description
This is a very good driver quality wagon.
I bought this car for my wife six years ago. It has the original 283-runs and sounds perfect-with unverified mileage as shown. The body shows evidence of repair and touch up. Original color-if changed-unknown. The frame is in amazing shape! Obviously lowered with new wheels and BFG tires. The paint shows great, but is not show quality. The trim is all intact. There is some wear to most of it. The headliner is great with no tears. Upholstery appears original with the exception of the trunk carpet. Door panels are obviously worn but look good.
There are a couple places that show rust. Two spots on the door I didn"t get a picture of. I tried to picture them. The top has one area that is flaking (see the picture). All windows and doors function properly, but the drivers’ door doesn’t engage every now and then. Maybe the latch doesn’t reset?
The original 3 speed tranny struggled at highway speeds, so I had the transmission replaced with a new 4l60. I had the MSD controller installed to operate it and it works amazing! It should have the rearend reageared as it doesn’t hit 5th gear until 74 mph. It was sluggish on stopping so I had discs installed on the front. I did not have the speedometer hooked up so the mph gauge does not work. I’d be happy to have that done if requested. The tires have very little wear, but are old and starting to show small cracks.
Please let me know if you have any other questions. You can call or text
