Vehicle description
1964 Buick Riviera - Restoration Ready - Barn Find - Complete - MUST SELL! (NR)
This is the First Generation Riviera (1963-1965) and has been in storage approximately 18 years.
This is a RARE FIND to be so complete and NOT a rust bucket.
It was purchased in 1978 by the previous owner and has not been driven for a couple of decades.
Part of this vehicle""s life was spent in Florida.
The car was Garage-Kept and a Sunday driver.
"465 Wildcat" 425 cubic inch V-8 with Carter 4BBL & Auto tranny
Specs say 465ft/lbs of torque at 2800RPM
Motor turns over freely with a standard ratchet and then with the starter.
"Wish Bone" or "X-Frame" with independent, trailing arm suspension (unique to this model?)
Former owner is deceased, so not much history is available.
Title in 1978 had mileage at approx 75K with 119K on the odometer currently.
Includes Owner"s Manual and other "Riviera Club" materials from the day.
This is a beautiful project car ready for restoration.
"Luxury Sports Sedan" with a muscle car drive terrain.
Factory bucket seats and center console/shift lever
Center pop-up arm rest in the back seat.
Factory air and electric windows - 1964 luxuries!
Little under-body floor pan rust (see pix.)
As-Is and Where-Is
The car does not start; I prepped and turned it over with a ratchet then the starter.
It seems to have compression and turned over well with the temp battery.
The electric windows have power to them; lights seem to work.
The car appears to be complete. The interior is dried out and in need of replacing.
Very little rust; see the photos. (Minor quarter panel holes behind the rear wheels.)
Clear Title in Hand
$500 deposit (non-refundable) due within 24 hours of the auction close.
Balance due via wire transfer before transportation or cash-in-person at delivery
Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer
