Vehicle description
The time has come where I need to part with my 1963 Porsche 356B. I have had this car for over 4 years and use it as a weekend/weekday driver around town. The odometer currently reads 50,383 when I purchased it the odometer was 48,022. The previous owner purchased it in June of 1994 at which time the title stated the odometer was 47,752 so it apparently sat quite a bit. The work that I have done since I have owned it includes new tie rods, bushings, Koni shocks all around, new Koni steering dampner, new drum brakes, degrease and degunk just about everywhere. New shift bushings, starter. New front brake lines and dual valve master cylinder. The Pros with this car include fun to drive, I feel like I am stepping back in the time machine. Clock and Radio fully functional. The Cons on this car include surface rust on both doors lower portion, paint is bubbling. Top of roof paint has worn thin. Front hood has the notorious bent/cracked paint syndrome on the passengers side. Passenger side headlamp has cracking. Previous owner hit parking space block bending driver side lower valance. Rear engine lid top drivers side has some patch work done. Rear window has some scratches in it. Rear passenger window has glass crackage. Car smokes a little when first started after it sets for a while. Please see COA attached. This is a numbers matching original 1963 vehicle meaning it has the original transmission, original "S" engine , as well as the original optional Rear Balance compensating spring all that were as this car rolled off the production floor on June 12th 1963. This is a good opportunity to own a 100% authentic value priced 356B S model Porsche. What this car needs/wants:- If I were to keep this car areas that could use some nurturing would be to upgrade the 6 volt system to 12 volt. At times the starter does turn a little slow, fortunately the car starts right up. The other area would be to offer it a decent paint job. I keep the car garaged at all times but there is some surface rust as mentioned previously that needs attention. I do plan to list the car locally as well for sale and reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time. Feel free to ask me any questions
