Vehicle description
Up for auction is a very cool 1963 Pontiac Tempest Lemans A/FX Tribute car built to be driven and be able to have some fun a the track. The car is actually a Lemans but the previous owner/builder preferred the Tempest taillights and has been converted nicely. The car is powered by an aluminum head 455 it has Kauffman Racing Equipment heads with an Edlebrock intake and carburetor. motor is 9:1 with a stock stroke, bored 30 over with forged pistons with molly rings and a ram air 4 cam and 1.50 rockers. Ram Air Restorations D-port long branch factory headers 2.50 exhaust. Large aluminum Jegs radiator. TH350 trans with a nice shift kit and a Lokar shifter. Inland Empire steel driveshaft connected to a 9in Ford posi rear end with a Yukon center section with 4 wheel disk brakes and a Ride Tech triangulated four link suspension with Ride Tech coil over shocks. Flaming River rack and pinion steering. All new front end rebuild kit installed. The car has a full VFN fiberglass front clip (fenders, hood and valance) with a hinged hood but steel bumper. The battery has been relocated into the trunk. It has Seat Enterprises Inc. aftermarket seats. A lakewood style roll bar. No back seat. From what i can tell the car was finished sometime in 2014 according to the receipts that i got with it. The previous owner stated that there has only been around 1000 miles put on the car since restoration. The car will need a carpet and a headliner to be complete. This is one of the most rust free cars i have ever seen, when i say it is 99.9% rust free i mean it! The lines on the car good(minus some fiberglass fitment i will be honest) and the paint is great! All lights work. The car is not a rotisserie restoration but rather built to be driven and enjoyed it is not 100% perfect all around. The underside could use some attention and be cleaned up nicely mostly just rerouting brake lines, fuel lines, and cleaning a few things up. I bought the car as you see it with the intentions of cleaning it up a bit and to drive the wheels off of it, but my priorities have been refocused on my real race car and need the money and time for it. I have tried to be as honest as possible on this car and i am sure i have left something out. If you have any questions please don"t hesitate to ask. If you request additional photos i will get them to you if possible. The amount of money in this car is almost mind boggling considering what i am selling it for, there is no way you could build another for what i am asking.
