Vehicle description

RELISTED DUE TO NON-PAYING BUYER. PLEASE DO NOT COMMIT TO BUYING IF YOU CANNOT COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION.
I rescued this car from a barn out in Indiana earlier this year. According to the documentation I have, the car spent most of its life in Tennessee. The odometer reads 26xxx miles, though its quite possible the odometer has rolled over.
The car actually looks much worse than it really is. At some point disassembly was started, and the body was sanded down to mostly metal. This resulted in an oxidized (not rotten) finish over most of the body. All four doors are very solid. There is a large dent in the right front fender, and a smaller dent in the right rear quarter. The left side of the car is largely straight with only a couple small dings. The trunk lid is in excellent condition. There is one pinhole (literally the size of a pin) and thats it! Trunk lids are rust-proned on these cars and its next to impossible to find replacements. The left front floor needs a small (6” or so) patch. The right front floor should be replaced. The rear floor is beautiful, as is the trunk floor. Subframe and under-hood very nice. Typical rust for these years on the lower rear doglegs and and the first inch or so of the rear quarters. Replacement panels can be sourced for these areas.
The original engine and transmission is in the car, but the heads, intake, carb and accessories are missing. The drivetrain from the transmission rearward is complete.
Interior is all there, but like the rest of the car, requires restoration. I have never applied power to the car, so operation of the windows, top and other power accessories is unknown at this time. The power top components appear to be intact and untouched.
In summary, this car could be used as a superb parts car or a reasonable restoration candidate. Though partially disassembled, with the exception of the missing engine parts, it appears to be mostly complete when the loose parts (included) are considered. Additionally, it looks as though the disassembly was done with care as there are no cut wires or hacks. These are one of those cars that are actually a great investment to restore; with many selling for $50-80K depending on the quality of the restoration.
I am selling this car with a bill of sale ONLY. I didn’t title this car because I was not sure whether I would part it out or restore it. This car does not run and must be winched onto the transporter. This car is being sold with no reserve - high bid wins. Bids from bidders with negative feedback will be cancelled. Bidders with less than 10 positive feedbacks must contact me prior to bidding. This car has been described accurately to the best of my ability, and by bidding, the bidder accepts that the vehicle is being sold as-is with no warranties expressed or implied. Shipping is the sole responsibility of the winning bidder.
