Vehicle description
Up for sale today is my 63 Impala, I"m the second log time owner. I bought it in 09 from the original owner, he taught 9 kid to drive in it, it was in a poll barn in Hartington Nebraska on a farm. It"s an unrestored original, mostly original paint. When I bought it I went through all the brakes, installed a new gas tank and sender, changed all the fluids, tuned it up, rebuild the carb. and it turned into a wonderful very reliable daily driver. I drove it everyday to work. I was lucky enough to have a place there to keep it out of the weather. It has only spent two nights out of the garage since I"ve owned it. Since turning into a driver I completely rebuilt the front suspension including a NOS steering box. bought new interior the back seat is done it comes with the new (Cars repo interior, the best)) (custom made in 64 SS pattern) front seat and foam carpet headliner, package tray and kick panels. the car runs excellent and has never not started, the engine (283) is dirty with vette valve covers and air cleaner, It is ready finally for the new radiator I bought for it 3 years ago, included. yes it"s lowered w new 2" lower coils. Since owning it I"ve collected and changed most of the trim with NOS, restored or repo moldings . The tail light panel is a very expensive combo of NOS & early take off engine turned Super Sport Trim and is very nice, the original chrome bumpers are nice. there is a little rust on the car, LH lower front fender, one of the dog legs, & the trunk body mounts show some rust. I will include the patch panels I"ve collected. Over all it"s a very solid car for its original condition. The floors and trunk are solid. Original carpet with original bow tie mat is still in place, doors, hood and trunk lid are rust free, quarters are solid. It was a dry car when I bought it. I"ve had a lot of fun with this car, It gets more attention than a showroom full of Ferrari"s. It would be an easy car to restore, but I have enjoyed it just the way it is . They are only original once. Oh yeah that"s a 61 Impala steering wheel ( my favorite) in it, which worked out well it was larger than the 63 wheel, and with no PS. it made it much easier to drive. The car has a couple of cool factory options, the two tone paint was cool and it has the green soft ray tinted glass, It does have two cracks in the windshield the original owner said it cracked when he was washing it?, & dealer installed GM accessory front seat belts. car comes with two sets of rims the original rims with Super sport hub caps (cause they look soo good) and a rare set of factory 409 deep set rims freshly painted body color with a set of very nice and hard to find dog dish caps (cause they look so good) and good tires on them. Everything except the radio works on the car including the hot and cold dash lights
