Vehicle description
Giddy up giddy up 409, nothing can catch my 409. Remember that song from the Beach Boys? This is the car that they were singing about. The car that I dreamed of owning but could only gaze as they flew by. Was that 55 years ago? Yes I guess it was. Well here"s your opportunity to own one of the VERY rare survivors of that great era. A true SS 409 car from birth. This example is unmolested except for the upgraded wheels and is exactly as it was born. I know someone that has a set of original wheels and SS caps that he will trade for these mags if new owner doesn"t like them. Personally I like this look. This is a 100% guaranteed matching numbers 409 4 speed with power steering, power brakes, factory tach, bucket seats, padded dash, bumper guards, original spare wheel and bumper jack, and drop dead gorgeous red interior and gorgeous red exterior with exquisite chrome to finish the appearance off. Hubbards Impala has verified all the numbers for me and verified it even came with the padded dash new. I bought this car off the original owner from California 20 years ago and after owning it for a while I had to part with it 5 years later to settle a divorce. I was able to acquire it back some time later and although I swore I wouldn"t let us get separated again my age and health says that I must find her a new home for the last time. Car has always been in Texas and California and garaged and has beautiful original rust free sheet metal and floors. Undercarriage was undercoated new and although I"ve removed most of it down to the original primer with my little homeowners pressure washer it needs to be steam cleaned professionally underneath to get rid of the rest of the undercoat and return it to the original GM primer colored finish. Car runs super and has no mechanical issues at all. The radio stopped working I believe because of a faulty antenna cable. I"ve neglected to tend to it because I don"t listen to AM. Gas gauge, tach, speedo, signals, brake lights etc. are in great working order. Car is priced to sell so if you like it bid on it what it"s worth to you. You could be the next proud owner of her. Please don"t ask for a buy it now or a reserve, it"s an auction so to be fair to all I think I"ll let it play out. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Whoever gets this car I"m sure will not be disappointed. Look at my rating and bid with confidence. Any questions please contact Buck @ 214 310 9755.
