Vehicle description
This car was built as an evocation of what a German competitor of the early Lotus Seven might have been. ( Siebin is German for 7 ) . It is one of one, great fun to drive, and no one knows what it is , other than it looks old and German. It uses hand signals for turning, and rain x for wipers, a minimalist car with no top, for sunny day rides. Tows easily behind my Honda Fit. Before my modifications to the body, it started life as a Kellison Mini-T , apparently being built in-period c. 1970"s. The nose is 1/2 plywood and foam with fiberglass over that, all glassed into the body. The engine cover is built in the manner of a cup car, sheet steel over 1/2 square tubing. One of the big benefits is that unlike other small sports cars, all the engine heat ( and sound ) is behind you, so you stay cool on the road. Best suited for drivers under 6 ft. tall. The 50"s-60"s German "look" I was after turned out better than I had imagined, but at age 64, I was in denial and find that I can"t get in and out of it easily enough to want to keep it. Happy to have you come and take a look, it won"t let me load videos, but can provide them & other additional info on request. I reserve the right to end the sale early. Do not need help selling.
