Vehicle description
1962 Plymouth Belvedere. Ebay does not have listing for Belvedere, so, I had to put Fury. Almost done project, but, I need the room. Car painted about 6 years ago, and has been garaged all that time until last one year. Rebuilt 1962 413 motor. The motor came from a Chrysler Imperial. Professionally rebuilt by Eddings Engine in Sylmar California in last 2 years. Mopar Purple Cam. The cam sounds awesome, however, may be "too much cam" for the motor". Bigger heads would really wake the motor up, or swapping in a less aggressive cam, but, I do not have time to do. Front disk brake conversion. Rebuilt 727 Trans by Pro Trans in Palmdale California about 2 years ago. New interior installed in last three months. New front end. New HydraBoost braking system by HydraTech. MSD ignition. New four speaker stereo professionally installed. New re-chromed front and rear bumpers. New weatherstripping. Car finished about three months ago, but, sitting. It needs the final sorting out. Less than 10 miles since rebuild. I am running out of time, and rather than let the car sit, let somebody finish it up and enjoy it! Missing some exterior trim pieces. I will be happy to meet transport truck within 5 miles if you need. $500 Deposit due within 48 hours of winning bid.
note added:
No significant rust before the car was painted. There was some surface rust on the trunklid and hood, but, no patch panels were needed. The car is originally a Belvedere, so, it only had one red tailight. My body guy added the second red tailight on each side, so it looks more like a Sport Fury from the rear. There is a crack in the windshield. I have a new turn signal/brake wiring harness, but, have not installed that in the car. So, at this point, the rear brake lights do not work properly. The turn signal work ok, but, not 100%. The wiring signal harness will cure that problem. The engine and trans was built about 2 years ago. The engine builder fired up/ and broke in the engine about one year ago. But, it was sitting at the shop for a few months while the upholstery and other things were getting down. The shop just put in the Upholstery, the Hyrda Tech Brakes, put all trim on that I have, did the weatherstripping. I have clean title. Like any project, I am guessing it will need some sorting out with the transmission shift down, possible carb adjustment, etc. It could be a little sorting out, or it could need a lot of little stuff. I have the front lower valance that the front turn signals go into. The front valance is OK shape, but, not painted. That will be included, along with an extra instrumnet panel. I have leftover original can of paint that probably has just enough to paint the valance. maybe. The trim missing is mostly the side trim and trunk trim. If you look at pics, you can see the missing trim. I don"t have any extra parts, as all parts I have are either on the car now, or missing. It has been a long multi year project and tho almost done, I know it will not be ready, at my pace, for another year. So, rather than let it sit, best to kick it loose. The car is for sale locally, I reserve right to cancel if sold before auction closes, per EBAY rules.
